Principal's Message

Welcome to Citrus Grove Elementary! 

Citrus Grove is located in beautiful DeLand, Florida and is the newest school in DeLand, serving approximately 900 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our school mission is: "Eagles do their best and nothing less!" Citrus Grove lives that mission each and every day as our teachers, staff, families and administrators work together to provide the best educational opportunities for our students.

Our goal is to educate the whole child, and when the school day is over our students do not stop learning. Our children have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of after-school activities, including clubs that focus on the arts, healthy lifestyles, literature and technology. We also offer tutoring opportunities for students who need additional support.

We are excited to be a Bring Your Own Technology school, which allows students in participating classrooms to bring electronic devices to use and further integrate technology during the school day. Citrus Grove is a Professional Development School with Stetson University which provides our faculty with a wide variety of professional development opportunities throughout the year.

If you are looking for a school that encourages family and community involvement, look no further! Our parents are an integral part of our school's success. We are very fortunate to have an active and supportive Parent Teacher Association, and we always welcome parents to serve as members on our School Advisory Council.
